
New Delhi, April 25 (HS): Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Leaders of several nations, including heads of state and prime ministers, have spoken with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. All have expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives and have strongly condemned the attack. Today, leaders from Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands spoke with the Prime Minister.
Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake spoke to Prime Minister Modi and expressed deep sadness over the deaths of innocent people. He described the attack as a heinous terrorist act and expressed solidarity with India, reaffirming commitment to the joint fight against terrorism.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer also spoke with Prime Minister Modi over the phone. He condemned the attack as barbaric and inhumane, expressing deep sympathy for the people of India, and stated that the UK stands with India during this time of crisis.
Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof also spoke to Prime Minister Modi. He referred to the attack as a cross-border terrorist attack, calling it a cowardly and inhumane act. He rejected every form of terrorism.
Prime Minister Modi thanked these countries for their support and stated that India will work together to combat global terrorism.
Leaders from 13 countries have personally spoken to Prime Minister Modi so far. These include leaders from the United States, Australia, Nepal, Mauritius, Israel, Jordan, Japan, France, Italy, Egypt, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Sri Lanka.
