Pak shuts its airspace to civilian aircraft for 48 hours

Islamabad, May 7 (HS): After the Indian Army targeted terrorist bases in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan temporarily closed its airspace to civilian aircraft for 48 hours. This measure, aimed at ensuring security, came in response to Indian Army actions similar to surgical strikes.

Major airports like Lahore and Islamabad have suspended all domestic and international flights, with many being redirected. The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed this nationwide air traffic control policy, asserting that services will resume only after assessing the security situation. Consequently, this closure has affected Pakistani air services and required foreign aircraft to alter their routes.
