Pakistan supporters to get good treatment: CM

Sribhumi (Assam), 26 April (HS): Those who comment in favor of Pakistan on social media will be sent directly to jail and will get good medicine and treatment. This strict warning has given by Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday at a huge BJP rally in Neelambazar of Sribhumi district. He had come here in connection with the Panchayat election campaign.

The Chief Minister condemned the massacre of Hindus in Pahalgam and said that in the interest of the country, everyone should forget Hindu-Muslim discrimination and support Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In the rally organized under the leadership of Sribhumi District BJP President Sanjeev Banik, Dr. Sarma strongly criticized the Congress and explained in detail the promises made for the development of rural areas in the BJP’s Sankalp Patra.

The Chief Minister said that on May 10, his government will complete four years. He claimed that the peace that has been established in the state cannot be compared to the Congress rule. During the Congress era, there was politics of ‘suta and blanket’, today there is politics of development. He said sarcastically that now the election symbol of Congress should be ‘lungi’.

The Chief Minister said that during the rule of Congress, Muslims were massacred in many districts including Kokrajhar, Goalpara, whereas today there is peace in Assam.

Referring further to the promises, Dr. Sarma said that the Central Government has started a road project from Guwahati to Barapani, Barapani to Pathargram at a cost of ₹25 thousand crore, due to which the journey will be completed in just four hours. The construction work of Ramakrishnanagar Medical College Hospital will be completed soon and a new medical college will be built in Hailakandi. Medical colleges and hospitals will be opened in all three districts of Barak Valley.

The Chief Minister also announced that the number of 22 thousand Arunodaya beneficiaries in every assembly constituency will be increased to 40 thousand, so that no poor is deprived.

Dr. Sarma said that he will come to Sribhumi again in the month of June and will distribute cheques of ₹10,000 each to the women of the voluntary group with his own hands.

Attacking the Congress, the Chief Minister said that during their tenure, the ration card had no value, whereas now the ration card not only provides free ration, but also insurance up to ₹5 lakh. Panchayat certificate will no longer be required for admission in college, ration card will be enough.

The Chief Minister informed that from October 01, rice, pulses, salt etc. will be available ₹30 cheaper than the market price. LPG cylinder will be available for ₹ 987, while the price of cylinder under the Ujjwala scheme will be ₹ 550. Apart from this, normal gas cylinder will be available for ₹ 600 and Ujjwala cylinder for ₹ 250. Along with this, the honorarium of tutors, Anganwadi and Asha workers and mid-day meal workers will also be increased.
