
New Delhi, May 10 (H.S.): Pakistan attempted drone attacks at 26 locations late at night, but India’s air defence system successfully thwarted all of these attacks. The air force shot down 15 drones in Amritsar. The Indian Army is carrying out a vigorous retaliation in the Jammu sector. In response, India has conducted strikes on several military bases in Pakistan. In Firozpur, Punjab, the burning debris of one drone fell, injuring three members of the same family. After a blackout in several cities of India, the flow of drones from Pakistan began. As night fell, firing from Pakistan targeted border areas along the Line of Control (LOC), to which the army began responding. Subsequently, drones were spotted at 26 locations along the international border and the Line of Control with Pakistan, from Baramulla in the north to Bhuj in the south. These included armed drones that posed a potential threat to civilian and military sites.
According to army sources, the locations included Baramulla, Srinagar, Awantipora, Nagrota, Jammu in Jammu and Kashmir; Firozpur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta in Punjab; and Jaisalmer, Barmer in Rajasthan; and Bhuj, Kuwarbeht, and Lakhi Nala in Gujarat. India immediately took action and shot down 15 drones in Amritsar. India’s air missile defence system neutralized the Pakistani drones, thwarting Pakistan’s intentions once again. Meanwhile, the burning debris of one drone fell on a residential house in Firozpur, causing three members of the same family to get burned. One woman is in critical condition and has been hospitalized.
The Indian Armed Forces are maintaining a high level of vigilance, and all aerial threats are being tracked and dealt with using counter-drone systems. The situation is being closely and continuously monitored, and necessary actions are being taken. Citizens, especially in border areas, have been advised to stay indoors, limit unnecessary movement, and strictly follow the security instructions from local administration.

In response, the army has attacked several Pakistani military bases. Reports are emerging in the Pakistani media about large-scale Indian drones and red flares being seen at night in several areas of Punjab and PoJK. There is a climate of fear in several districts of Pakistan’s Punjab and PoJK. There are reports of counter-attacks amidst blackouts in Neelum Valley, Sargodha, and Sialkot.
