New Delhi, April 15 (H.S.): Himachal Pradesh is celebrating its 78th foundation day today. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the people of the state and wished for the progress of the divine land.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said, Many best wishes to all the people of the state on Himachal Day. My brothers and sisters from this state, renowned for its glorious culture, are known for their hard work, talent, and valor. May this special occasion bring happiness, prosperity, and health into your lives, and may our divine land continue on the path of progress.

It is noteworthy that Himachal Pradesh was formed on April 15, 1948, by merging 30 small and large princely states. Since then, April 15 has been celebrated as Himachal Day every year.
