PM Modi set to inaugurate the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in Mumbai

The BJP has shared information about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's program in Mumbai on its X handle.

Delhi, 1 May (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to visit Maharashtra today, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh on 2nd May. He will travel to Mumbai on 1st May, and at around 10:30 AM, he will inaugurate the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES).

Prime Minister will inaugurate WAVES 2025, the inaugural World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit at the Jio World Centre, Mumbai, themed “Connecting Creators, Connecting Countries.” This four-day summit aims to establish India as a global leader in media and entertainment, uniting creators, startups, industry leaders, and policymakers internationally. Aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision of harnessing creativity and technology, WAVES will cover films, OTT, gaming, comics, digital media, AI, AVGC-XR, and broadcasting, targeting a $50 billion market by 2029. For the first time, India will host the Global Media Dialogue (GMD) with representatives from 25 countries, enhancing its global media engagement.

The summit will include the WAVES Bazaar, a global e-marketplace featuring over 6,100 buyers, 5,200 sellers, and 2,100 projects, facilitating extensive networking opportunities. The Prime Minister will engage with selected creators from the 32 Create in India Challenges and visit the Bharat Pavilion. Over 90 countries will participate, with 10,000+ delegates, 1,000 creators, and numerous sessions across various sectors.
