
New Delhi, April 12 (HS): On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the commercial flight service from Hisar to Ayodhya on April 14 and will lay the foundation stone for the new terminal building at Hisar Airport. In addition, he will gift the state various development projects, including a thermal power unit, a biogas plant, and the Rewari Bypass.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) stated in a release on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana on April 14 for Ambedkar Jayanti. He will flag off the commercial flight from Hisar to Ayodhya around 10:15 AM and will also lay the foundation stone for the new terminal building at Hisar Airport. He will address a public gathering as well. After that, around 12:30 PM, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects in Yamunanagar and will address the crowd present at that occasion.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the new terminal building at Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar, which will cost over ₹410 crores. This will include a state-of-the-art passenger terminal, a cargo terminal, and an ATC building. He will also flag off the first flight from Hisar to Ayodhya. There will be scheduled flights from Hisar to Ayodhya (twice a week) along with three flights a week to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for an 800 MW modern thermal power unit at the Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar. This unit, spread over 233 acres, will be constructed at a cost of approximately ₹8,470 crores.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for a compressed biogas plant in Mukarba Pur, Yamunanagar. This plant will have an annual production capacity of 2,600 metric tons and will aid in effective organic waste management while contributing to clean energy production and environmental preservation. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the 14.4-kilometer-long Rewari Bypass project, which is part of the Bharatmala project and will cost around ₹1,070 crores. This will reduce congestion in the Rewari city, cut the travel time to Delhi-Narnaul by about an hour, and promote economic and social activities in the region.
