
Bikaner, May 21 (HS): PM Modi is set to visit Bikaner district in Rajasthan on Thursday, marking his first trip to the state since Operation Sindoor by the Indian Army. Public and administration enthusiasm is high, with main roads adorned with banners and hoardings to welcome him. During his visit, he will virtually inaugurate 103 redeveloped railway stations nationwide under the Amrit Bharat initiative and announce various development projects worth ₹26,000 crores for Rajasthan.
PM Modi’s special aircraft is expected to arrive at the Nal Airbase in Bikaner at 9:45 AM, after which he will travel via helicopter to Deshnoke. His first stop will be the renowned Karni Mata Temple, followed by a visit to Deshnok railway station, which has been upgraded under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate multiple railway stations, including Deshnok, Bundi, Mandalgarh, and Gogamedi, and flag off an express train connecting Bikaner to Mumbai.
Prior to his visit, he will be welcomed by state leaders including Governor Haribhai Bagda, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, among others. In Pilana village, Modi will hold a public meeting at noon, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects exceeding ₹26,000 crores, primarily focused on road, railway, and defense infrastructure in border areas. Modi emphasized that these initiatives will enhance transportation and bolster security in border regions.
Extensive preparations have been made for the public meeting, with seating for over one lakh attendees arranged in 54 dedicated blocks, including sections for VVIPs and women. A temporary 50-bed hospital will be available on-site, with sufficient medical supplies and water provisions, including 100 water tankers and mobile toilets.
Medical teams are also prepared, with a dedicated team in Deshnok led by Dr. R.K. Kajla, while another accompanies Modi’s convoy. Security is a top priority, with a substantial deployment of personnel. The education department is tasked with ensuring teachers from local areas attend the event.
Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal inspected the meeting site and addressed concerns about terrorism, calling for unity in the national interest amid ongoing opposition objections. He highlighted the need to convey India’s stance against terrorism internationally.
