
New Delhi, April 23 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bihar on April 24, attending a program in Madhubani at 11:45 AM to commemorate National Panchayati Raj Day. During his visit, he will inaugurate, lay foundation stones, and dedicate various development projects totaling over Rs 13,480 crore. He will recognize outstanding Panchayats by presenting the National Panchayat Awards.
Significantly, he will lay the foundation stone for an LPG bottling plant with a rail unloading facility in Hathua, Gopalganj, valued at around Rs 340 crore, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of LPG transport. To enhance the power infrastructure, projects worth over Rs 1,170 crore will be initiated, and others worth over Rs 5,030 crore will be inaugurated under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme.
As part of his rail connectivity initiative, he will flag off several trains, including the Amrit Bharat Express from Saharsa to Mumbai and the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail between Jaynagar and Patna. Additionally, he will inaugurate key rail lines and bridges.
Further, he will distribute benefits worth Rs 930 crore to over 2 lakh SHGs under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, and provide housing support to 15 lakh new PMAY-Gramin beneficiaries, marking the Grih Pravesh for 1 lakh PMAY houses in Bihar.
