
Raipur, 30 March (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to Bilaspur district in Chhattisgarh today on March 30 for a public meeting in Mohbhatha village, where he will launch numerous key development projects. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has already inspected the venue. Modi is scheduled to arrive around 3:30 PM to lay foundation stones, initiate projects, and dedicate initiatives worth over Rs 33,700 crore.
Among significant projects, he will lay the foundation for the NTPC’s SIPAT Super Thermal Power Project Stage-III (1x800MW) worth Rs 9,790 crore and start construction on CSPGCL’s first supercritical thermal power project (2X660MW) for Rs 15,800 crore. In line with cleaner energy goals, he will also initiate the CGD project by BPCL across several districts, involving over 200 km of pipelines, costing Rs 1,285 crore. Furthermore, Modi will commence HPCL’s Visakh-Raipur Pipeline Project for Rs 2,210 crore and launchailway projects to enhance regional connectivity.
The Prime Minister is set to inaugurate the 100% electrification of the Indian Railways network in Chhattisgarh, aimed at decreasing congestion, boosting connectivity, and promoting social and economic growth. He will also open the upgraded Jhalmala to Sherpar section of NH-930 (37 Km) and the Ambikapur-Pathalgaon part of NH-43 (75 Km), both revamped to two lanes with paved shoulders.
Furthermore, he will lay the groundwork for the improvement of the Kondagaon-Narayanpur section of NH-130D (47.5 Km) to a similar standard. These projects, with a budget exceeding Rs 1,270 crore, will enhance accessibility to tribal and industrial sectors, fostering regional progress.
In addition, the Prime Minister will launch significant educational initiatives, including 130 PM SHRI Schools across 29 districts and the Vidya Samiksha Kendra in Raipur, aimed at delivering quality education. Chief Minister Sai has tasked officials to ensure timely preparations for this major event, with the goal of uplifting Chhattisgarh’s communities and improving overall living standards.
