Mumbai, 28 Apr (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi
will inaugurate the World Audio-Visual Entertainment Summit at the Jio World
Centre in BKC, Mumbai on May 1. The summit will be held from May 1 to 4,
Maharashtra’s Industries Minister Uday Samant informed the media on Monday.
The Maharashtra Government, under the leadership of Chief
Minister Devendra Fadnavis, is hosting the Summit. Modi will stay in Mumbai for
the entire day. Minister for External Affairs S Jaishankar, Railway Minister Ashvini
Vaishnav, CM Fadnavis, Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar will remain
present.
Mumbai is an important global centre for the entertainment industry, foreign investment, and tourism. The Summit is being
organised to showcase tourists spots at a global level, Samant said. Ministers or
minister-level authorities from 33 nations, CEOs from 120 international
companies, and prominent personalities from the film industry will participate in
the event. Various pandals for Maharashtra, Telangana and other film industries
have been erected and will be inaugurated by Modi. Various cultural
programmes, seminars and round-table conferences will be held during the
Summit, Samant said.
