Pope Francis Stable, Resting after Suffering new Breathing Crises

Vatican City, March 06 (HS): Pope Francis, who has been unwell for the last month, is in a stable condition. For the last three weeks, 88-year-old Pope Francis is being treated at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital. Francis, who is suffering from double pneumonia (severe respiratory infection), slept well at night. The Holy See Press Office gave this information to journalists on Thursday morning and said that the Pope is still resting.

According to Vatican News, the Holy See Press Office said on Wednesday evening that Pope Francis’ condition remained stable today as well. At night, he slept wearing a non-invasive mechanical mask. He has been given oxygen through a nasal tube during the day. He spent the day in his recliner chair. In the private apartment located on the 10th floor of the hospital, the Pope participated in the ritual of blessing of holy ashes.
