Rome, 9 March (H.S.): On the evening of 8 March, the Holy See Press Office provided a health update on Pope Francis, stating his clinical condition has been stable, showing a gradual and mild improvement. He has remained fever-free, with improved breathing gas exchange and stable blood chemistry results.
After receiving the Eucharist, the Pope prayed in his private chapel and balanced rest with work activities. The Press Office noted that the Pope will transition to non-invasive mechanical ventilation at night after using high-flow oxygen during the day. He will participate in spiritual exercises with the Roman Curia, and the Angelus text will be shared as previously done.
