Positive signals from global market, bullish trend in Asia

New Delhi, July 10(HS): Positive trends are noted in the global market today despite some mixed signals. US markets closed strong last session, with the S&P 500 up by 0.61% at 6,263.26 and the Nasdaq gaining 192.87 points, or 0.94%, to end at 20,611.34. However, Dow Jones futures are currently down by 0.21% at 44,365.71 points. European markets also performed well, with the FTSE up 0.14% at 8,867.02 points, the CAC gaining 1.42% to 7,878.46 points, and the DAX rising 1.40% at 24,549.56 points.

In Asia, a buying atmosphere prevails, with 6 out of 9 markets in positive territory, although 2 indices are in the negative. The SET composite index is inactive due to a Thailand stock exchange holiday. The Nifty is down 0.10% at 25,505 points, and the Nikkei has declined by 0.63% to 39,571.63 points. In contrast, the Straits Times index is up by 0.48%, the Taiwan index has increased by 0.31%, and the KOSPI has surged 1.01%, along with gains in the Jakarta composite and Shanghai indices.
