
New Delhi, February 11 (HS): Global markets are showing signs of strength today. US markets closed after trading with gains during the previous session. However, Dow Jones futures are seen trading with weakness today. European markets also remained bullish during the previous session. Asian markets are seeing mixed trading today.
The US market remained enthusiastic during the previous session, due to which Wall Street indices closed in the green. Dow Jones closed at 44,470 points with a gain of 167 points. Similarly, the S&P 500 index jumped 0.67 percent to close at 6,066.44 points. Apart from this, Nasdaq jumped 185.79 points or 0.95 percent to close at 19,709.19 points. Dow Jones Futures is currently trading at 44,431.10 points with a decline of 0.09 percent.
Buying environment was also seen in European market during the last session. FTSE index closed at 8,767.80 points with a gain of 0.77 percent. Similarly, CAC index closed at 8,006.22 points with a gain of 0.41 percent in the last session. Apart from this, DAX index jumped 124.74 points i.e. 0.57 percent and closed at 21,911.74 points.
Mixed trading is seen in Asian markets today. Out of 9 Asian markets, 5 indices are trading in red with decline, while 3 indices are in green. There is no movement in Nikkei index today due to holiday in Tokyo Stock Exchange. Taiwan Weighted Index is trading at 23,344.12 points with a gain of 0.40 percent. Similarly, SET Composite Index has reached 1,276.33 points with a gain of 0.46 percent. Apart from this, KOSPI Index has jumped 0.99 percent to reach 2,546.26 points. On the other hand, GIFT Nifty is trading at 23,352 points with a weakness of 0.33 percent. Similarly, Strait Times Index has come down to 3,858.80 with a decline of 0.42 percent. A big decline is seen in Jakarta Composite Index today. Currently, this index has reached 6,542.24 points after falling by 108.85 points i.e. 1.59 percent. Apart from this, the Hang Seng Index slipped 126.25 points or 0.59 percent to trade at 21,395.73 points and the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.16 percent to trade at 3,316.83 points.
