East Rutherford, July 10(HS): Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Real Madrid in the semifinal of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, with two goals from Fabian Ruiz and an impressive performance by Ousmane Dembélé. PSG will face Chelsea in the final on Sunday. The team started aggressively, taking a 3-0 lead within 24 minutes. This match was significant as it marked Kylian Mbappé’s first encounter with his former club, but PSG’s defense effectively neutralized any threats, preventing Real Madrid from scoring.
Dembélé set up Ruiz’s first goal in the 6th minute, then scored himself in the 9th minute. Ruiz netted his second goal in the 24th minute after a collaboration with Hakimi and Dembélé. Gonçalo Ramos added the final goal in the 87th minute. Gianluigi Donnarumma’s goalkeeping was crucial, making key saves, including stopping Mbappé’s early attempt. PSG’s defense has maintained clean sheets in five of their six tournament matches. Trent Alexander-Arnold missed the match for Real due to injury, and Chelsea, the 2021 champions, aims to reclaim the title.
