Prayagraj,
01 May (HS): The PW faculties met students in Prayagraj, where concerns were
raised over alleged irregularities in the evaluation of the recently announced
results of the UP Board examinations. Both faculty members and students
highlighted the importance of fairness and transparency in the assessment
process. The group proposed the formation of an impartial committee to
investigate the reported errors in evaluation and urged that the committee
conduct its work promptly to prevent unnecessary delays for students. The
participants expressed that timely and fair resolution of these concerns is
essential for restoring confidence in the examination system.
The
gathering also recommended that the process for re-evaluating answer sheets be
made simpler and more transparent. It was suggested that if, after
re-evaluation, a student’s marks are found to have increased, the fee collected
for the rechecking process should be refunded in full. This, they stated, would
ensure that students are not penalized for administrative or evaluative
mistakes. The meet-up reaffirmed the collective support of PW faculty members
for the students and called on relevant authorities to take responsible and
student-centric actions.
