NEW DELHI, 8 March (H.S.): Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to engage with 800 district
leaders during the first week of April as part of his efforts to reform the
Congress party. Rahul Gandhi is set to unveil his strategy for restructuring
the Congress organization by conducting an interactive session with
approximately 800 district unit leaders during the first week of April.
The resolution to reinstate district units nationwide was
reached following a seven-hour deliberation between Rahul and Kharge alongside
senior leaders in Delhi on February 19. Subsequently, the newly appointed state
in-charges for Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Punjab
have engaged in discussions with their respective state teams regarding the
suggested organizational reforms.
The party’s senior leaders, Bhakta Charan Das and Gurdeep
Sapple, asserted that the persistent crimes against women stem from the state
government’s inability to implement necessary measures in areas lacking
Congress governance. They highlighted the need for the government to tackle
this issue with increased urgency. In light of this, a fact-finding committee
has been formed to assess the prevailing situation. Furthermore, initiatives
are underway to restructure local units to enhance the party’s influence.
They said that the ideological aspect of local leaders will
enhance the organization. This initiative will also be implemented at the state
level. This reform represents a significant undertaking and will be executed
over the course of the year.
