Rapid industrial transformation under CM Sarma’s leadership

Guwahati, 18 May (HS): Concrete steps are being taken continuously by the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma towards implementing the promises made during Advantage Assam-2.0. In this sequence, an important program was organized for land allotment and exchange of MoUs between the Government of Assam and major investors at the Srimanta Sankardev International Auditorium in Guwahati on Sunday.

On this occasion, the state government signed the final agreement related to investment of ₹22,899.71 crore in the energy sector. Welcoming this big step, in a statement issued by BJP, Assam Pradesh, party spokesperson Ranjeev Kumar Sharma said that 5,953 employment opportunities will be created in the state under these agreements.

It is known that during Advantage Assam-2.0, the state government had signed MoUs worth ₹5 lakh crore with investors from India and abroad. Since then, the government has been working on a war footing to turn the possibilities into reality.

The spokesperson also said that due to the special efforts of the Chief Minister, projects in sectors like hotels, dairy, energy and infrastructure are now reaching the production stage. He said that Team Assam is moving ahead with commitment to build a new Assam by working day and night.
