(HS):- Former MLA and Congress leader Ravindra Ghangrekar embraced Eknath

Shinde’s Shiv Sena after meeting Shinde. His entry into Shiv Sena disturbed

Bharatiya Janata Party workers in Kasba constituency who were expecting his

entry into the BJP.

Ghagrekar

entered Congress in 2017 during the Pune Municipal Corporation election following

ex-MLA Mohan Joshi’s advice and won Assembly by-election from Kasba. He lost

the election last year as a Congress candidate and was not happy within the

party. The speculation of leaving Congress came true when he contacted Deputy CM Eknath

Shinde and resigned from Congress a couple of days back and today joined Shinde’s

party.
