

New Delhi, 16 September (H.S.): In a landmark development set to redefine India’s printing and packaging sector, the Indian Printing Packaging & Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA) and the All India Federation of Printers and Packagers (AIFPP) signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 15, 2025, at IPAMA’s office in Noida.
This unprecedented strategic partnership brings together two of the industry’s most influential organizations, paving the way for enhanced innovation, collaboration, and global recognition of a sector that empowers over 250,000 entrepreneurs across India. The MoU designates IPAMA and AIFPP as exclusive strategic partners for exhibitions and industry events, setting the stage for transformative growth and professional excellence.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Iqbal Singh, General Secretary of IPAMA, and Mr. Sunil Jain, General Secretary of AIFPP, under the leadership of Mr. Jaiveer Singh, President of IPAMA, and Mr. Ashwani Gupta, President of AIFPP. The event was witnessed by a distinguished group of industry leaders, including R Suresh Kumar, Dharam Pal Rawat, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Kuljeet Singh Mann, Prashant Vats, Rajesh Sardana, Vijay Mohan, Sandeep Aggarwal, Mukesh Kumar, Prashant Aggarwal, Deepak Bhatia, and Prof. Kamal Mohan Chopra, symbolizing a unified vision for the industry’s advancement.
The partnership will make its debut through the prestigious “Packaging Excellence Awards,” which will be presented during the IntraPac India 2025 Exhibition, scheduled from December 10 to 13, 2025, at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida. A grand award ceremony is slated for December 12, where IPAMA will provide infrastructure and promotional support, while AIFPP will manage the award framework, entry evaluation, and event orchestration.
Looking ahead, the collaboration will further amplify its impact at the 17th PRINTPACK INDIA Exhibition in 2027, introducing both National and Global Awards for Excellence in Printing and Packaging. Additionally, regional initiatives such as PRINTPACK – Rajasthan and PRINTPACK – Northeast will benefit from AIFPP-led value-added activities, including seminars and personality awards, designed to engage and inspire industry stakeholders.
Mr. Jaiveer Singh described the MoU as a “golden milestone,” envisioning a future where India’s printing and packaging sector emerges as a global leader. Prof. Kamal Mohan Chopra commended the initiative as the fulfilment of a long-cherished dream to unify the industry’s brightest minds in a creative and technological renaissance.
The MoU is valid until PRINTPACK INDIA 2027 and establishes mutual exclusivity, whereby neither party will recognize other strategic partners without mutual consent. The agreement is governed by Indian law and lays the foundation for future detailed cooperation agreements, ensuring confidentiality and effective dispute resolution.
This historic collaboration is poised to propel India’s printing and packaging industry to new heights, empowering entrepreneurs, encouraging innovation, and elevating the nation’s global standing in the sector.
