Buenos Aires, March 13 (H.S.). Argentina’s top football club River Plate has signed a contract with Colombian international midfielder Kevin Castano. He will be joining River Plate from the Russian club Krasnodar.

On Wednesday, Castano arrived in Buenos Aires for a medical test and is expected to sign a contract soon until December 2028. According to local media reports, this transfer has taken place for 14 million US dollars.

Having represented the Colombian national team 16 times, Castano played 32 matches for the club after joining Krasnodar from Mexico’s Cruz Azul in January 2024.

Castano is the second Colombian player to join River Plate, with Miguel Borja already playing as a striker for the team.
