
Dehradun, March 11 (HS): To ensure a smooth Kedarnath Yatra beginning May 2, Rudraprayag district’s in-charge minister, Saurabh Bahuguna, convened a meeting with officials, hotel operators, and organizations. He emphasized timely completion of travel arrangements by the administration, police, and departments to prevent discomfort for pilgrims.
The Kedarnath Dham, a revered Jyotirlinga, attracts millions annually, necessitating high standards in travel management, security, health, communication, and cleanliness. He instructed the Animal Husbandry Department to conduct regular health checks and treat horses and mules promptly if any health issues arise.
Highlighting the event’s economic significance for local residents, Bahuguna advocated for their involvement in arrangements and proposed special stalls for local products along the route.
District Magistrate Dr. Saurabh Gaharwar provided updates on the preparations, with notable attendees including MLAs Bharat Singh Chaudhary and Asha Nautiyal, outgoing district panchayat member Amardeep Shah, municipal chairperson Kubja Dharmwan, and various departmental officials contributing to the meeting’s discussions and progress.
