Delhi, 12 April (H.S.): The Supreme Court has mandated that the President must decide on bills reserved for consideration by governors within three months of receipt.

This decision follows the clearance of 10 bills previously stalled by Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi. The judgment, totaling 415 pages, emphasizes the importance of timely action on bills passed by state assemblies.

The court adopted a timeline set by the Ministry of Home Affairs to ensure prompt decisions, aiming to streamline the legislative process and enhance governance efficiency. The judgment was published online shortly after its ruling.
