Schools in Maharashtra to reopen from June 16

Nagpur, 02 May (HS):

The schools in Maharashtra will reopen on June 16, after the summer vacations,

the State School Education Department has announced. However, in light of the

severe summer heat in the Vidarbha region, the date of reopening is June 23 in

this region.

From June 23 to June

28, the school hours will be adjusted from 7:00 am to 11:45 am in order to

safeguard students from the extreme heat. The regular school timings will

resume from June 30.

The summer

vacation for all primary, secondary, and higher secondary students under the

Maharashtra State Board will be from May 2 to June 15, 2025.

According to

a circular issued by Sharad Gosavi, Director of Primary Education, and Dr.

Shriram Panzade, Director of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, schools

are also expected to conduct sessions through the “NIPUN Maharashtra” app,

accessible both online and offline.
