Delhi, 11 July (H.S.): India is positioning itself as a significant competitor in the global semiconductor ecosystem, especially with the forthcoming SEMICON India 2025 event, scheduled from September 2 to 4, 2025, at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. This event, organized by ISM and SEMI, highlights India’s commitment and capabilities in establishing a self-reliant semiconductor ecosystem, aligning with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.

SEMICON India 2025 will emphasize increased participation from stakeholders, signaling the success of the Semicon India Programme in attracting international semiconductor firms and solidifying India’s reputation as a reliable hub. The event introduces notable firsts, such as four International Pavilions from Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia, and eight Country Roundtables aimed at facilitating bilateral partnerships.

To focus on future preparedness, SEMICON India 2025 will introduce Training, Upskilling, and Workforce Development Programs, providing career counseling for students and engineers. A dedicated Semiconductor Design Startup Pavilion will promote innovation in chip design, and participation from nine State Government Pavilions will increase from six in previous years.

The event anticipates over 300 exhibitors from 18 countries, showcasing the full spectrum of the electronics value chain, which underlines India’s integration into the global semiconductor market. It will also host a three-day conference featuring global CXOs and experts discussing manufacturing, technological advancements, supply chain strategies, and industry trends.

Key features will include the Workforce Development Pavilion, Startup Pavilion, B2B Forums, and structured Training & Upskilling Programs, all aimed at enhancing India’s talent pool and ecosystem capabilities.
