
Imphal, 08 March (HS): Manipur Police and security forces have arrested seven rebels of different organizations by raiding various places. Police said on Saturday that many objectionable items have been recovered from them. Apart from this, three illegal bunkers have also been destroyed in Tengnoupal district.
One of the arrested militants has been identified as Mayanglambam Borish Singh (24) of the KCP (Taibanganba) rebel group, from whom a Redmi 13C 5G mobile phone was recovered.
Apart from this, Thoudam Premkumar Singh (38), a outfit of the KCP (PWG) rebel group, was arrested near the gate of Bir Tikendrajit International Airport in Imphal. A brown side bag, two mobile handsets, an Aadhar card and an Airtel Payment Bank debit card were seized from him.
While, two rebels of KCP (PWG), Moirangthem Jiban Singh (27) and Laishram Tiken Singh (40) were arrested from near RIMS Main Gate, Lamphel. Two mobile handsets, an Aadhar card and ₹50,130 were recovered from them, which included ₹50,000 extortion money.
Similarly, one rebel of PREPAK outfit, Ningthoujam Dhananjay was arrested. One mobile phone, one SIM card, an Aadhar card, one wallet, one RC book, ₹1,000 cash and one Tata Nexon car were recovered from him.
At the same time, two rebels of KYKL outfit group, Kesham Naocha alias Ningsingba (38) and Ningthoujam Sanjay (18) were arrested from BP-77 near Lokchao river in Moreh of Tengnoupal district.
Apart from this, three illegal bunkers were destroyed by the security forces in Pelyang village of Machhi police station area of Tengnoupal district. Police are investigating the matter further. All the arrested accused are being interrogated.
