Several important resolutions adopted in Assam cabinet meeting

Guwahati, 4 April (HS): An important meeting of the Assam Cabinet has held in Lokseva Bhavan on Friday. Many important resolutions have adopted in this cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. After the meeting, the Chief Minister informed about these decisions in a press conference.

Among the major decisions of the cabinet, it was decided to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) by 2% for state government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) by 2% for pensioners.

Mathuri Committee will be formed for flood control. Each committee will have 10-15 youth volunteers, who will assist in flood control. The Chief Minister will award certificates to these volunteers in October.

Working Women Hostel will be constructed in Jagiroad. This hostel will be built at a cost of ₹142 crore, where women working in the semiconductor industry will stay.

From 1st Bohag (Assamese New Year), all government notifications and government letters will be published in Assamese language along with English.

Decision to withdraw cases pending in Foreign Tribunals against 28K people of Koch Rajvanshi community. Now no cases related to foreign citizenship will be registered against them.

The Chief Minister said that these decisions have been taken in the interest of the people of the state and their long-term benefits will be seen in the coming times.
