Shopian, Dec 04 (KINS): Continuing its crackdown against drug peddling, Shopian Police recovered a significant quantity of contraband from a residential house in Safanagri Zainapora and arrested the accused.

Based on specific inputs, Police Station Zainapora registered FIR No. 120/2025 under the NDPS Act and secured a search warrant from the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Shopian. A police team, along with the Executive Magistrate 1st Class, conducted a raid at the residence of Farooq Ahmad Dar.

During the search, 7.9 kg of cannabis-like substance was recovered, and the accused was arrested on the spot. Further investigation is underway.
