Shyam Lal and Shri Ram College registered big wins in the 11th Padma Shri Shyam Lal Hockey Tournament

New Delhi, February 14 (HS): Shyam Lal College, Kirori Mal College, Shri Ram College of Commerce and Delhi University Alumna performed brilliantly and registered wins in the 11th Padma Shri Shyam Lal Memorial Invitational Hockey (Men and Women) Tournament and strengthened their position in the league round.

Shyam Lal College defeated Hansraj College

In the men’s category, host Shyam Lal College defeated Hansraj College by a big margin of 7-1. Ashish Sehrawat scored two goals for Shyam Lal College, while Pratyush Singh Jaggi, Mohit Rana, Lalit, Priyanshu and Ashish Gupta scored one goal each. Ashish Sehrawat was selected Man of the Match for his brilliant performance.

Shri Ram College of Commerce’s spectacular win

Shri Ram College of Commerce defeated Shyam Lal College Evening by 10-1. Inderpal scored five goals in this match, while Divyansh and Vipin Nandal scored two goals each and Vibhanshu Tiwari scored one goal. Rohit scored the only goal for Shyam Lal College Evening. Inderpal Singh was awarded the Man of the Match award in this match.

Delhi University Alumna’s spectacular victory in the women’s category

In the women’s category, Delhi University Alumna defeated Vivekanand College 2-0. Sunita scored both the goals for Delhi University Alumna. Manita was awarded the Player of the Match award.

Kirori Mal College defeated Amity University

In another match, Kirori Mal College defeated Amity University 6-3. Vishal scored two goals for Kirori Mal College, while Ashish, Dhruv, Mohammad Alam and Shrestha scored one goal each. Rupesh Balhara scored two goals and Thomas scored one goal for Amity University. The Man of the Match award for this match was given to Dhruv Dahiya, while Rupesh Balhara received the consolation prize. Many more exciting matches are yet to be played in the tournament, where teams will compete fiercely for the title.
