
New York, March 13 (HS): India’s Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Anupruna Devi, participated in a bilateral meeting with Sima Bahous, the Executive Director of UN Women, during the 69th session on the status of women convened at the UN Headquarters. Sima Bahous appreciated India’s digital revolution, zero violence, equal decision-making power, peace and security, as well as India’s efforts to center adolescent girls and youth in women-led development.
Union Minister Anupruna Devi shared this information along with a photo on her X handle. Additionally, during the 69th session on the status of women at the UN Headquarters, Anupruna Devi stated that India wants to share its experience of using digital public infrastructure to bridge the gender digital divide with the world. India is moving forward with women-led development.
She mentioned that India is building a country where women actively lead as architects by participating in concept, design, implementation, and monitoring. It is noteworthy that the 69th session of the United Nations Commission, which began on March 10, will continue until March 21. Anupruna Devi said that India is pleased to share its experiences with the world.
