South Africa 'A' Squad Unveiled for India Tour; Temba Bavuma Slated for Test Return

Delhi, 17 October (H.S.): Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Thursday announced its ‘A’ squad for the upcoming tour of India, which is set to commence on October 30 in Bengaluru. The tour will feature two four-day unofficial Test matches followed by a three-match one-day series.The tour begins with the first four-day match, followed by the second from November 6 to 9. Both red-ball encounters will take place at the BCCI Centre of Excellence.

In a significant development, South Africa’s Test captain, Temba Bavuma, is scheduled to make his return from injury in the second unofficial Test.Following the four-day games, the two teams will travel to Rajkot for a three-match one-day series, which will be held from November 13 to 19.

This tour is seen as a preparatory series ahead of the senior South African team’s official tour of India. The India ‘A’ squad for the series is yet to be announced.
