Kang Sang-yoon opened the scoring in the 27th minute, assisted by Seo Min-woo. Following halftime, South Korea aimed to increase their lead but missed two long-distance shots.
In the 67th minute, Lee Ho-jae scored with a powerful header, solidifying their advantage. South Korea dominated the match with 78 percent ball possession and 20 total shots, six on target. Previously, they won 3-0 against China. With two wins, South Korea has six points in the mini-league tournament. Their next match is on July 15 against Japan, while Hong Kong will face China. The tournament runs from July 7 to July 16 in Gyeonggi Province.
