Deoria,
29 April (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath slammed the
Samajwadi Party (SP) on Tuesday, claiming that some of its officials’ comments
about the Pahalgam terrorist assault matched claims made by Pakistan’s official
spokespersons. He also chastised an SP office-bearer in Mumbai for making a
derogatory comment.
Addressing
a public meeting here, Adityanath pointed to the April 22 incident, which
killed 26 people, and said, The statements made by SP leaders after the
Pahalgam attack are so disgraceful that it is difficult to tell whether they
are speaking as SP leaders or as representatives of Pakistan. In a recent
news conference, Akhilesh Yadav was asked if he will be visiting the family of
the Pahalgam assault victim in Kanpur.
The
chief minister remarked, when questioned why SP officials had not visited the
house of Kanpur’s Shubham Dwivedi, who was brutally slain in an assault, the
party chief allegedly stated, He was not from our party.” This is an awful and disgusting comment. He
went on to say that the whole country condemns the tragedy regardless of party
affiliation, while SP leaders make foolish statements…
Adityanath
accused the SP and the Congress of participating in casteist, divisive, and
appeasement tactics, which he claimed jeopardized national security. He
emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the government
has taken tough measures against terrorism and Naxalism, and that the entire
nation is unified in its opposition to terror.
He
recalled the status of Deoria prior to 2017, describing it as plagued by
sickness, anarchy, and terrible government.
Festivals
could not be celebrated quietly, forcing young people to move and farmers to
commit suicide. He stated that communities such as the Musahars and Vantangiyas
were in danger of hunger. According to an official release, before to his talk,
Adityanath inaugurated 341 projects and laid the groundwork for 160 development
projects totaling Rs 676 crore. During the ceremony, he handed rewards from
several programs, such as loan cheques to young entrepreneurs, financial aid to
women self-help groups, rural housing plan home keys, tractor keys, land pattas
to 37 recipients, and pension cheques. He also recognized Preeti Kushwaha and
Shweta Prasad, who received first place in the district’s high school and
intermediate board exams.
