KKR spin bowling coach Carl Crow

Kolkata, April 21 (HS): In Tata IPL 2025, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team will face Gujarat Titans in an important match at Eden Gardens on Monday. Before the match, the team’s spin bowling coach, Carl Crowe, emphasized that it’s essential for players to maintain a balanced mental state during this phase of the tournament.

After a narrow defeat against Punjab Kings by 16 runs, Karl Kró stated, It is essential that we do not get overly excited or disheartened by wins or losses. In the last match, we bowled exceptionally well and restricted them to just 112 runs. Up until halfway through our innings, we were completely dominating the match. Therefore, we need to consistently stick to our strategy and play with a positive mindset.

Regarding the pitch at Eden Gardens, Carl Crowe mentioned, Spin bowling has always played a vital role here, and we have some excellent spin bowlers. Their average runs per over, wicket-taking rate, and total wickets reflect the hard work they have put in. The captain has also utilized them brilliantly at different times throughout the tournament.

Carl Crowe also expressed satisfaction regarding the return of Abhishek Nair to the Kolkata Knight Riders coaching staff. He remarked, Abhishek has been associated with the franchise for a long time and holds considerable respect in the dressing room. Last year, we became champions with a significant contribution from him. He maintains great rapport with the players and understands the nuances of the game well. His return will greatly benefit the team.

The Kolkata Knight Riders team will step onto the field with the intent of making a comeback against Gujarat Titans. The role of the spin bowlers will once again be decisive, and coach Kró believes that if the team plays with a positive mindset, it will be possible to bring the result in their favor.
