New Delhi, May 15 (HS): To support and recognize India’s promising young athletes, SportsSkill has launched the ‘Champions Club Elite Pass.’ This initiative connects top-ranked players with premier resources and opportunities, marking a historic collaboration with the Cricket Club of India (CCI), a leading sports institution. This partnership signifies a significant commitment from India’s top clubs to nurture future champions. Renowned squash player and U.S. Squash Hall of Fame member Anil Nair praised the initiative, stating it benefits players, club members, and juniors while boosting sports promotion and club branding.
Co-founder Chetan Desai emphasized that the Elite Pass serves as a national call for clubs to engage in talent development, stating it enhances the credibility of both players and clubs. Fellow co-founder Abhinav Sinha noted that the support from respected institutions like CCI is crucial for their mission of evolving clubs into talent development hubs. The pass is based on performance criteria, offered free to athletes ranked in the top 8 in India or top 16 in Asia across various sports including tennis, squash, table tennis, badminton, and pickleball, with plans to expand to additional sports in the future.
