Srinagar, Dec 03: Kashmir continued to reel under intense cold wave conditions on Tuesday as temperatures dipped further across the Valley.
Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of –4.4°C, marking one of the coldest nights of the season so far.
Other key stations also witnessed a sharp drop in mercury. Pahalgam settled at –4.6°C, Kupwara at –4.1°C, and the ski resort of Gulmarg at –3.1°C.
Konibal remained the coldest among the listed areas, plummeting to –5.0°C.
Officials from the Meteorological Department said the prevailing dry spell and clear skies are contributing to the deepening night temperatures, with the cold wave likely to persist over the coming days.
