Stock market rises in early trade, Sensex and Nifty jump

New Delhi, 25 February (HS): The domestic stock market is seen to be in a bullish trend during early trade today. Today’s trading started with a slight decline. After the market opened, buyers started buying, due to which the stock market movement gained momentum. After the first 1 hour of trading, the Sensex was trading with a strength of 0.37 percent and Nifty with a strength of 0.20 percent.

After the first 1 hour of trading, among the stock market’s leading stocks, the shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance and Adani Enterprises were trading with a strength of 2.28 percent to 0.94 percent. On the other hand, the shares of Hindalco Industries, Power Grid Corporation, Coal India, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and Trent Limited were trading with a decline of 3.79 percent to 0.95 percent.

Till now, there was active trading in 2,417 stocks in the stock market. Out of these, 1,651 stocks were trading in the green mark by making profit, while 766 stocks were trading in the red mark by suffering loss.

Similarly, out of the 30 stocks included in the Sensex, 19 stocks remained in the green mark with the support of buying. On the other hand, 11 stocks were trading in the red mark under the pressure of selling. While out of the 50 stocks included in the Nifty, 30 stocks were seen trading in the green mark and 20 stocks in the red mark.

The BSE Sensex opened today with a slight weakness of 14.11 points at the level of 74,440.30 points. Due to slight selling as soon as the market opened, this index slipped to 74,400.37 points. Shortly after this, the buyers made a strong buying, due to which this index jumped and made its place in the green mark. After the first 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, the Sensex was trading at a level of 74,727.54 points with a gain of 273.13 points.

Like the Sensex, NSE’s Nifty today started trading at a level of 22,516.45 points, down 36.90 points. As soon as the market opened, the movement of this index gained momentum due to the support of buying. With the support of continuous buying, the index jumped to 22,625.30 points after the first half hour of trading.

However, due to the slight selling that followed, the movement of this index also declined. After the first 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, the Nifty was trading at a level of 22,597.50 points with a gain of 44.15 points. Earlier on the last trading day on Monday, the Sensex closed at 74,454.41 points with a loss of 856.65 points i.e. 1.14 percent. On the other hand, the Nifty ended Monday’s trading at 22,553.35 points with a decline of 242.55 points i.e. 1.06 percent.
