
New Delhi, July 25(HS): The domestic stock market is experiencing pressure in early trading today, with a decline at the session’s start. At 10 AM, Sensex was down 0.43% and Nifty by 0.50%. Major stocks, such as SBI Life Insurance and ICICI Bank, showed gains from 2.14% to 0.27%, while Bajaj Finance and Hero MotoCorp declined between 4.79% and 0.89%. A total of 2,422 stocks were traded, with 735 in the green and 1,687 in the red.
Among the 30 Sensex stocks, only 1 showed buying support, while 29 faced selling pressure. In Nifty, 6 stocks were up, and 44 were down. The BSE Sensex opened at 82,065.76, dropping 118.41 points initially, then fell to 81,721.69 points within 15 minutes due to selling pressure.
Despite temporary buying, the index declined again, trading at 81,830.28 by 10 AM, down 353.89 points. NSE’s Nifty opened at 25,010.35, down 51.75 points, and by 10 AM, it was at 24,936.30 points, down 125.80 points, indicating bearish dominance. In comparison, on the last trading day, Sensex closed at 82,184.17 points, down 542.47 points, and Nifty ended at 25,062.10 points, down 157.80 points.
