Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, Guptill, and Dilshan to feature in Legends Championship

Greater Noida, May 12 (H.S.): Former Indian cricketers Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan are set to participate in the Intercontinental Legends Championship (ILC). This tournament will be held from May 27 to June 5 at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida. International cricket legends like former Sri Lankan opener Tillakaratne Dilshan, New Zealand’s Martin Guptill, and former Afghanistan captain Asghar Afghan will also take part in this global cricket league.

India will be represented by the Indian Warriors team, which will include experienced players like Raina and Dhawan, as well as former fast bowlers Praveen Kumar and Manpreet Gony. A total of six teams will participate in the tournament, representing six different continents of the world. These teams are – Indian Warriors, African Lions, Trans Titans (Australia and New Zealand), Euro Gladiators, American Strikers, and Asian Avengers.

Gaurav Kamal, the director of ILC, said in a statement on Monday regarding the tournament, These legendary players have thrilled us for years, and now they will return to the field, bringing back old memories. ILC is a celebration of their cricketing careers, as well as global unity in the sport.

Meanwhile, director of ILC, Manish Bhatt, stated, Shikhar Dhawan’s classic batting and Suresh Raina’s explosive strokes will make this tournament very special. Their experience and charisma will inspire young cricket fans.

A total of 18 matches will be played in this league, and all matches will be broadcast live on Sony Sports Network.
