Suryavanshi's stunning century helps RR beats GT by 8 wickets

Vaibhav Suryavanshi(14) record breaking Century in IPL 2025

Jaipur, April 29 (H.S.): In the 47th match of IPL 2025, Rajasthan Royals defeated Gujarat Titans by 8 wickets. Gujarat set a massive score of 209 runs after losing 4 wickets, but with the help of 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s brilliant century, Rajasthan achieved the target in just 16 overs.

Chasing the target of 210 runs set by Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Rajasthan Royals got off to a explosive start. Young Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal put together a partnership of 166 runs for the first wicket. Not only was the partnership solid, but the run rate was also very high. They formed this partnership in just 12 overs. Vaibhav completed his century in 35 balls, scoring 101 runs with the help of 11 sixes and 7 fours in 38 balls. Besides Vaibhav, Yashasvi Jaiswal played a commendable unbeaten innings of 70 runs off 40 balls. Captain Riyan Parag also contributed significantly by scoring 32 runs off 15 balls.

For Gujarat, Prasidh Krishna and Rashid Khan each took one wicket.

Earlier, after losing the toss and opting to bat, Gujarat Titans put up 209 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Shubman Gill scored 84 runs off 50 balls. Meanwhile, Jos Buttler remained unbeaten with 50 runs off 26 balls. Sai Sudharsan scored 39 runs. Washington Sundar had 13 runs to his name, and Rahul Tewatia scored 9 runs. Shahrukh Khan remained unbeaten with 5 runs.

For Rajasthan, Maheesh Theekshana took two wickets, while Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma each took one wicket.
