New Delhi/Bengaluru, February 26 (H.S): The country’s quick-commerce platform Swiggy Instamart is delivering holy Tandul Mahaprasad Laddu directly from Sri Kashi Vishwanath Temple to people in just 10 minutes on the occasion of Mahashivratri festival. Swiggy Instamart is delivering this Mahaprasad to devotees in 40 cities of the country.
On Mahashivratri, Swiggy Instamart is offering a unique experience by delivering the holy Tandul Mahaprasad Laddu directly from Sri Kashi Vishwanath Temple to people in just 10 minutes, the company said in a statement released on Wednesday. These are the same laddus that are served in Srikashi Vishwanath Temple. Dedicated to Lord Shiva from one of the most prestigious temples in the country, this laddoo of Shri Kashi Vishwanath is available only on Swiggy Instagrammart on Mahashivratri.
Swiggy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Amitesh Jha said, “The festival of Mahashivratri is a special occasion of faith. We are honored to bring this spiritual experience to the homes of our customers. Tandul Mahaprasad is extremely important for devotees in this auspicious time and we are bringing it to people without compromising its authenticity.” Swiggy Instamart is delivering these laddus to devotees in 40 cities across Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Goa and Madhya Pradesh.
Amitesh Jha said that apart from laddoos, Swiggy Instamart will also provide many essential items for devotees celebrating Mahashivratri. These include handmade polyresin idols of Lord Shiva, Shivlinga and Nag Devata showpieces, Shiva Chalisa in Hindi, Amul Panchamrit, Amul Cool Thandai, Amul’s various sweets, fruits and fasting essentials.
Prepared with sattvic practices at the Banas Kashi complex in Varanasi, these laddus are made using bel patra (leaves) dedicated to Shri Kashi Vishwanath, so that the devotees can receive the same sacred bhog that is traditionally offered in the temple. It uses pure ingredients like Amul Organic Rice and Desi Ghee. This Mahaprasad is prepared as per the instructions of the temple trust, which is in line with the sacred traditions of the temple.
