Basel,23 March (H.S.): Christo Popov reached his first final of the season by defeating No.6 Li Shi Feng in straight games at the YONEX Swiss Open 2025, setting up a title match against Weng Hong Yang, who bested Lin Chun-Yi. Despite losing to Li in their previous encounters, Popov showcased dominance, recovering from a tentative start to clinch the first game 21-19 and control the rest of the match.

In women’s singles, Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt ended her losing streak, overcoming Michelle Li to reach the final, where she faces No.5 seed Chen Yu Fei, who defeated Putri Kusuma Wardani.

In men’s doubles, Indonesia’s Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin will compete against Thailand’s Kittinupong Kedren/Dechapol Puavaranukroh, the only final lacking Chinese pairs. Feng Yan Zhe/Wei Ya Xin will face compatriots Zhu Yi Jun/Zhang Chi in the mixed doubles final, while the women’s doubles final features Jia Yi Fan/Zhang Shu Xian against Liu Sheng Shu/Tan Ning.
