
Chennai, 25 April (H.S.) : Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has strongly condemned the recent Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, describing it as a grim reminder that terrorism is a global menace. Speaking at the inaugural session of a two-day Vice Chancellors conference in Udhagamandalam, Tamil Nadu, Dhankhar emphasized the need for humanity to come together to address this threat. He observed a minute’s silence along with Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi and Vice Chancellors to pay tribute to the victims of the attack.
Dhankhar stressed the importance of prioritizing national interest over personal, political, or group interests. He quoted B R Ambedkar, highlighting that national interest is supreme and cannot be compromised. The Vice President praised India’s visionary leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, assuring the nation of a strong response to any internal or external challenge. Dhankhar also highlighted India’s ancient philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family), which reflects the country’s commitment to peace and unity.
The Vice President’s remarks underscore the importance of national unity and cooperation in combating terrorism and promoting peace and security.
