Temporary Closure of 32 Airports Lifted

Delhi, 12 May (H.S.): The temporary closure of 32 airports for civil aircraft operations until 05:29 hrs on 15 May 2025 has been lifted, allowing immediate resumption of flights. Travelers should verify flight status directly with airlines and check their websites for updates. Previously, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and relevant aviation authorities issued Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) announcing the closures for operational reasons from 9th to 14th May 2025.

The impacted airports included:

Adhampur,Ambala,Amritsar, Awantipur,Bathinda,Bhuj,Bikaner,Chandigarh,Halwara,Hindon, Jaisalmer,Jammu,Jamnagar, Jodhpur,Kandla,Kangra (Gaggal),Keshod,Kishangarh, Kullu,Manali (Bhuntar),Leh,Ludhiana,Mundra,Naliya,Pathankot,Patiala,Porbandar,Rajkot(Hirasar),Sarsawa,Shimla,Srinagar,Thoise,Uttarlai, with all civil flight activities suspended during this period.
