Terrorist attack in Pakistan kills seven Baloch fighters

Islamabad, June 3(HS): In the past 24 hours, two police stations in Pakistan were targeted in attacks, which were successfully thwarted by law enforcement. The incidents took place in the Bajaur and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Police Inspector General Zulfiqar Hameed commended the police for their bravery in repelling the attackers and announced awards for their efforts. Separately, security forces conducted operations in Balochistan resulting in the deaths of seven Baloch fighters, classified as terrorists by the Pakistani state.

This information was released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), which confirmed that these fighters were linked to ‘Fitna al-Hindustan.’ The operations included five fighters killed in the Mach area of Kachhi district and two more in the Marghand area of Kalat district. The Pakistani government has long labeled Baloch rebels as terrorists and seeks to combat the independence movement in Balochistan. Military officials, including DG ISPR, have reiterated that Balochistan will not be allowed to separate from Pakistan.
