Those who have objection to colours on Holi, better stay at home: BJP MLA

Ballia,

13 March (HS): There is a debate going on in the

country about Friday of Ramzan falling on the day of Holi. Meanwhile, BJP’s

firebrand MLA from Bansdih, Ketki Singh said that those who have an objection

to colours should stay at home on Holi. She appealed that everyone should

celebrate this festival of colours together. MLA Ketki Singh, who recently came

into the news by demanding a separate wing for Muslims in the proposed medical

college, while talking to ‘Hindusthan Samachar’ on Thursday said that I still

stand by my statement. While congratulating the people of the state, Singh said

that Holi comes once a year. It should be celebrated with full joy.

Holi

is a festival of colours, happiness and goodwill. It gives the message of how

much unity is needed in society. It needs to be celebrated rising above caste,

creed and religion. It is one of the major festivals of India. I wish that

every Hindu, wherever he is in the world, celebrates Holi with joy.

She

said that the country is led by Modi Ji and the state by Yogi Ji. This time

Holi will be celebrated in every corner of the country. No one has the right to

tell us Hindus when to play Holi, where to play and at what time to play. She

said that it comes once a year. We are free to play Holi. Those who have an

objection to colours should stay at home. Rather, I want to invite everyone

with an open heart to come and play with colours. If there is no problem in

making colours, then there should be no problem in playing with colours. This

brings new feelings in life. Everyone should play Holi. But not to scare anyone

that Holi cannot be played on this side and cannot be played on that side. This

is not acceptable in our government at all. People should celebrate Holi twice

the enthusiasm with which they have been celebrating it, because there is Yogi

Adityanath’s government in the state. No matter whose festival it is, our

Maharaj Ji says that everyone has the right to celebrate their festival freely.

Hindus are also included in that. This is a majority society. India belongs to

Hindus. Therefore we would like to at least celebrate our festival well. I pray

to God that Holi continues forever.
