
New Delhi, May 4 (HS): During the last trading week, the market capitalization of 7 out of the top 10 valued companies in the domestic stock market rose by over ₹2.31 lakh crore, with Reliance Industries experiencing the largest increase. However, the market cap of 3 companies, including Bajaj Finance, decreased by ₹18,740.33 crore.
The total market cap growth was ₹2,31,177.30 crore among Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), Infosys, and ITC. In contrast, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Bajaj Finance, and Hindustan Unilever saw their market caps decrease by more than ₹18,000 crore.
From April 28 to May 2, Reliance Industries’ market cap rose by ₹1,64,959.62 crore to reach ₹19,24,235.76 crore, while Bharti Airtel’s increased by ₹20,755.67 crore to ₹10,56,029.91 crore. Other increases included ICICI Bank’s rise of ₹19,381.90 crore, HDFC Bank’s ₹11,514.78 crore, Infosys’s ₹10,902.31 crore, ITC’s ₹2,502.82 crore, and SBI’s ₹1,160.20 crore.
On the downside, Bajaj Finance’s market cap fell by ₹15,470.50 crore, Hindustan Unilever’s by ₹1,985.41 crore, and TCS’s by ₹1,284.42 crore. Reliance Industries maintained the highest market cap in the country.
