
Washington, February 24 (HS): The United States President Donald Trump administration has sent about 1600 employees of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on leave overnight in one stroke. This decision has come into effect from 11:59 pm.
According to the notice of USAID, this decision will apply to all other employees except the designated personnel responsible for the mission’s critical tasks, key leadership and specially designated programs. The notice states that about 1600 employees will be put on administrative leave globally. Additional instructions and specific information about their benefits and rights will be shared as soon as they are received.
