Trump Calms Gulf Allies, Rules Out Further Israeli Strikes on Qatar

U.S. President Donald Trump to lift sanctions imposed on Syria.

Washington, September 16 (HS): US President Donald Trump sought to defuse tensions in the Gulf on Monday, declaring that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would not launch further strikes in Qatar following last week’s attack on Hamas that angered Washington’s key ally.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said, “He won’t be hitting in Qatar,” after Netanyahu refrained from ruling out additional military action during talks in Jerusalem with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The remarks come against the backdrop of strained diplomacy, as Qatar—an influential Gulf partner hosting vital US military bases—voiced sharp disapproval over the previous Israeli strike. Trump’s assertion appeared intended to reassure Doha and stabilize regional dynamics amid heightened uncertainty.
